International Women’s Day (IWD) 2020 will be celebrated on the 8th of March and will acknowledge the achievements of women around the world. With this in mind, what better way is there for us to observe the date than to champion the strong team of women within Hello Scotland and some of their favourite Scottish incentive highlights.
Working with clients across the globe, in many different industries allows us to see the power having a diverse perspective in the workplace can have on the performance and overall success of a company. We consider these diversities in the bespoke programmes offered to our clients and include a range of activities to make sure all guests truly engage in the incentive or event. With the women of the Hello office having a range of passions as diverse as Scotland itself, we thought we would delve a little deeper into their enthusiasms and show that Scotland is a place where the opportunities to enrich your MICE event are plentiful.
Highland Fling
Scotland and its people are full of personality. Not only do we welcome international guests with open arms but we seize any opportunity to share our traditions and culture. Kirsten loves ceilidh dancing and the way it brings people together for part of an evening, having fun and interacting with one another. Guests may not be familiar with the dances but our expert team of local musicians, guides and dancers will be sure to show them the way – a truly engaging experience that leaves a lasting impression on guests.
International (Wo)man’s Best Friend
There is a long list of traditional country activities that groups can try their hand at when in Scotland but an interactive gun dog display ticks all the boxes for Rianna. Who wouldn’t want to get up close and cuddly with such beautiful dogs (and even some tiny puppies if you are lucky!). The impressive demonstration from specialist dog handlers not only showcases just how highly trained these dogs are, it also gives an insight into the history of gun dogs and some of the amazing partnerships with sportsmen and women. The exclusive combination of techniques and insider knowledge shared with the group by the local charismatic experts has been developed for use in the field but the new skills the group learn are also easily incorporated into the training of pet dogs at home.
Adrenaline in the Mountains
We have so much pride in our destination and is it any wonder when it is home to some of the most stunning landscapes imaginable. Kirsty loves getting out on the world class mountain biking trails here in Scotland. For Kirsty, the tracks are an adrenaline filled playground and all against the backdrop of the breath-taking Scottish scenery. The sweeping landscapes are nothing short of cinematic and one of the best ways to see them is from the saddle of a bike. As well as being a great physical activity, it is a great way to release endorphins and reduce stress and anxiety.
Bringing in top class instructors, we can offer the chance for guests of any ability to experience the adrenaline rush Kirsty loves so much.
A Luxury Journey Across Scotland
The Northern Belle is a luxury train that is so special only a small number of guests will ever get to experience it. For Elaine, combining a journey across Scotland with exclusive fine dining and the most opulent setting is a unique offering. It makes an event out of the journey, not just the destination, as the group travel through Scotland’s cities and highlands.
Gastronomic Glasgow
Glasgow, the city that is home to the Hello Scotland office and team, is overflowing with a unique culture – from the music scene to the architecture. Speak to Jenn however, and she will tell you that undoubtedly, her highlight of this vibrant city is the abundant food scene. With high end dining, creative concept restaurants and street food markets a-plenty the options are endless. The city’s talented chefs locally source and combine ingredients like some outstanding seafood and shellfish or prime quality Scotch beef to create a culinary offering that perfectly showcases the bountiful natural larder.
With our local inside knowledge incentive clients can get a real ‘taste of Scotland’ by enjoying a foodie tour, taking over one of the city’s dedicated street food markets, dining in a whisky distillery or visiting one of our top restaurant recommendations.
Make a Splash in Scotland
Visit Scotland has chosen 2020 to shine the spotlight on the unrivalled coasts and waters here in our bonnie wee country and Lisa can see why. Be it out at sea or activities on the rivers and lochs, she wouldn’t plan an incentive to Scotland without embracing the great outdoors and the water in some way.
Want to dart around a loch at high speed with an exhilarating speedboat trip or meet a master angler and learn to fly fish? Maybe sailing under the iconic Forth Bridge whilst wildlife spotting or throwing an exclusive reception on a private island in the middle of the water is more your thing – there are so many ways to make a splash in Scotland!

Off Road Escapades
We are so proud of our whole country and love showing as much of it off as possible so complementing a city based experience with something more rural is always a winner. The drama of the countryside is taken to new levels for Hope when you add in the thrill of an unrestricted road. Take in The Highlands whilst under expert tuition and learn the skills of observation, planning and manoeuvring whilst tackling side slopes, steep inclines and rutted tracks. Want more mud flying fun? Hope knows just the gravel quarry to head for some of the best quad biking, complete with ravines and river plunges.
Are you being inspired by some of the incentive options loved by our team and know Scotland is a perfect fit for your next group? Hello Scotland would love to be your destination management partner, so get in touch!
