Scotland has a rich and vibrant ‘royal’ culture that gives corporate incentive groups with a notion of high society the opportunity to get a little bit closer to royal life. St Andrews is great place to base a royal themed sales incentive from – after all, it’s where Kate and Wills met! There are two fabulous 5* hotels in the town, both of which have royal links, excellent golf, restaurants and facilities.
Here are a few ideas on how we could create a ‘Royal Incentive’ for your next corporate incentive travel group.
Dining in the Queen’s Castle
This stunning castle was the home of the Queen’s grandmother and the Queen enjoyed much of her childhood at this stunning location. You too can experience the excitement as you arrive at the mile-long driveway to the Castle, listening out for the piper who will greet you as you step inside this fascinating building. You’re evening here will remain a treasured memory long after the event has passed!
Day Tripping to Edinburgh
No royal incentive programme would be complete without a trip to Edinburgh, and this is a great optional activity from St Andrews. We’d include a visit to Holyroodhouse – the Queen’s residence in the city, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Yacht Britannia, which was still in commission until 1997. Add in a lunch in a special venue and some time for sightseeing/shopping and it’s the perfect day in the city!
Room Drops & Gifts – By Royal Appointment
‘By Royal Warrant of Appointment’ is the epitome of gold service – when a product or service is of a high enough standard to be a supplier to the Royal households. We can arrange room drops and gifts from Scotland’s finest producers that have been approved by the Royal family. These could include, Prince Charles’s favourite whisky, fresh flowers from the Queen’s Edinburgh florist, locally made food, Scottish knitwear or you could even have an activity learning to build a traditional drystone wall with the man responsible for maintaining the walls of the Royal Estates.
Drama in the Castle Ruins
To really wow your guests we can plan a surprise Address to the Haggis and Beat Retreat amongst the ruins of St Andrews Castle. There has been a castle dwelling here since 1189, although it was destroyed several times during the Wars of Independence and then went on to be a pivotal location during the Scottish Reformation. This exclusive event is a spin-tingling experience that your incentive group will love!
